A. Suzanne
Sigler
Jul 21, 1931 — Apr 7, 2025
Xenia
A. Suzanne (Berkley) Sigler, 93, of Xenia died Monday, April 7, 2025, at the Patterson in Beavercreek.
She was born in Mason County, WV on July 21, 1931, the first child of ten to Andrew Eldridge and Effie O'Kalla (Rainey) Berkley. Suzanne graduated from Gallia Academy in 1949. After graduation she ventured to Dayton, OH, seeking her fame and fortune where she worked as a key punch operator. In Dayton she met her husband Guy O. Sigler, who she did not like at first, but he wore her down and she always said "they were meant to be."
During their 57 years marriage they had two children, Gregory (Melanie) Sigler and Cheryl Griffin. She enjoyed boating with the family and numerous friends on the Ohio River, bowling, gardening, cooking, restoring antique furniture, ceramics, cruises and motor-homing around the country. She also enjoyed being a member of Zoar United Methodist Church.
Suzanne was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and the very best homemade chicken noodle maker. She is survived by both of her children; grandchildren, Sarah (Dustin) Dodge and Jesse (Lori) Griffin; great-grandchildren, Leyla, Rhys, Brie and Devin Dodge; and sister, Vicki (Michael) Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy O. Sigler; parents, Andrew Eldridge and Effie O'Kalla (Rainey) Berkley; brothers, James M., Chester R., William H.L., Andrew II, and Robert Berkley; sisters, Betty P. Clark, Gertrude J. Wickline and Annalee Hurd; and great-grandson, Cody G. Dodge.
The family would like to thank Emily Jordan RN, Toni STNA and Chaplain Harry of Affinity Care Hospice for their warm and loving care.
Graveside service will be held 2:30 PM Monday April 14th, at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Affinity Care Hospice, 9349 Waterstone Blvd Suite 340 Cincinnati, OH 45249. McColaugh Funeral Home is serving the family.
