Aileen W. Gerard, age 94, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Quaker Heights Healthcare in Waynesville. She was born June 27, 1927 in Sedalia, Ohio the daughter of Elden and Inez (Cook) Whiteside.

In addition to her parents, Aileen was preceded in death by 5 siblings and their spouses: Eleanor Keener; Janet (John) Harkins; Richard (Ruth Ann) Whiteside; Max (Phyllis) Whiteside and Mary (Roger) Booco; as well as her beloved husband of 48 years, Billy E. Gerard.

Aileen is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: Rhea Gerard of Jamestown and Mary (Fred) Tavakoli of Cleveland, Ohio; brother: Tom (Jeannie) Whiteside of Mt. Sterling, OH; 4 grandchildren: Kusha (Nili); Sarah; Shaud (Nida) and Geneva; 5 great grandchildren: Zev, Isla, Aviva, Zari, and Nazanin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Aileen enjoyed gardening, sewing, craftwork and design, and working Sudoku puzzles, and she excelled at them all.

A Memorial celebration is being held privately by the family. She was buried with her husband at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bowersville, Ohio.
