Alan Ream, age 73, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 15, 2026 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born July 22, 1953 in Lewistown, PA the son of Wallace and Elizabeth (McKeever) Ream.

In addition to his parents, Alan was preceded in death by his sister-in-law; Deborah Dennick-Ream: and his many fur-babies.

Alan graduated from Beavercreek High School. He went on to attend Bowling Green University and earned his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from McGregor Antioch University. He retired from the Dept. of Defense where he was a financial analyst.

Alan is survived by his wife, Debra (Lewis); sons: Ryan (Lindsey) Short and Andrew (Kari) Short; sister: Patricia (John) Tannreuther and brother: Zane Dennick-Ream; as well as 3 granddaughters, Adelyn, Kaitlyn and Keira; nieces: Shannon, Carrie; and nephew: John.

Services will be held 12 Noon Friday, October 23rd at McColaugh Massie Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with Rev. Jean Cotting officiating. Visitation will be held 11 AM Friday until the time of service.
