Althea Lee Dickens, age 90, of Xenia, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Hospice of Dayton Inpatient. She was born on October 6, 1932 in Lester, WV to the late Lloyd and Lucy (Canaday) Lester.

Althea is survived by her children: Debra Caudill, Leroy David (Norma) Dickens, and Lloyd Randall Dickens; grandchildren: Melissa Garey, Jason Caudill, Tiffany (Matthew) Baker, Dawn McKnight, Christopher Dickens, Jonathan (Jennifer) Dickens, Sarah (Kyle) Johnson, and Sean Dickens; 18 great grandchildren; and 4.5 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Althea was preceded in death by her husband: Leroy Bert Dickens; and granddaughter: Jessica Lee Dickens.

Althea was a 1950 graduate of Seth High School in WV. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, eventually taking care of Leroy when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Althea volunteered at Xenia Christian Academy as an aide. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Xenia.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, February 13, 2023, at McColaugh Funeral Home with Pastor Curtis Guest officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. Visitation will be held from 10:30-11:30 AM on Monday at the funeral home.
