Ann McColaugh Huston was born on April 29, 1948 to Robert S. and Marjean McColaugh. She passed away peacefully on November 2, 2026 following a brief illness.
Ann married Jim Huston on December 14, 1968. They would have celebrated 58 years of a wonderful life this December. Together they had one daughter, Beth Ann. She was the pride and joy of Ann’s life. Maliah was born and Ann began her journey as the best Yia-Yia. If you saw Ann, you saw Maliah.
Ann is survived by her husband Jim, daughter, Beth Ann (Derrick); and granddaughter, Maliah (Danny). Her brothers, Bob (Donna) McColaugh and Ron (Ann) McColaugh; and sister-in-law, Ginny McColaugh. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Mike (Kathleen) McColaugh, Kay (Drexel) Bentley, Megan (Nick) Germano, Mandi (Mark ) Haught, Justin (Heather) McColaugh, Nathan McColaugh, and Kevin (Annie) McColaugh. Many great nieces and great nephews, whom she cherished deeply.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Robert S. and Marjean McColaugh. Her brother and best friend, Rock McColaugh. Her in-laws Don and Carol Huston. Her brother-in-law John Huston.
Ann was a 1966 graduate of Xenia High School. She was a longtime member of Faith Community United Methodist Church. Ann never missed an opportunity to cheer on Beth and Maliah in every sport there was. You could occasionally hear her holler out in a way that would make everyone smile. Ann was an amazing wife, a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, and a treasured friend. Her love was unconditional, her heart was generous, and her presence had a way of making life a little brighter. She had a gift for making people feel loved, welcomed, and important.
She leaves behind more than memories. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, strength, and countless moments that will be cherished forever. The world was a better place because she was in it, and those of us blessed enough to have known her are better people because she was part of our lives.
Funeral service will be held 12:00 PM Friday, November 6th, at McColaugh Massie Funeral Home in Xenia, where visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Private burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bowersville will be held at a later date.
