Anna J. Bird Edwards, age 99 of Xenia, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Trinity Community at Beavercreek. She was born June 30, 1922 the daughter of Edgar Martin and Dora (Woods) Ramey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Robert William Bird in 1983, and second husband Charles Edwards in 2003; sisters Lenore Perry and Gladys Curnutte; and a brother, Elwood Ramey.

Anna is survived by her children Jeffery William (Rita) Bird, Joan Kathryn (Wayne) Rasper, Steven Robert (Lori) Bird, and Jennifer Lee (John) Schutte; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; three stepchildren David (Linda) Edwards, Louise Palmer, and James (Shirley) Edwards, and their extended families.

Anna worked at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Commissary after moving to Ohio from West Virginia, before becoming a cook with the Xenia Community Schools. She was a member of 2nd United Presbyterian Church, Memorial Presbyterian Church and Xenia United Presbyterian Church.

Anna was an avid quilter and gardener, and she loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren and step-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 4, 2021 at McColaugh Funeral Home, where visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens
