Anne J. Free, age 82, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Legacy of Beavercreek. She was born May 31, 1941 in Lexington, Kentucky, the daughter of Harry and Mary (Powell) Jackson.

In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Maxwell Free.

She is survived by three children: Gregory (Christy) Free of Germantown, WI; Christine (John) Castle of Xenia and Loren (Amy) Free of Middleburg, FL; brother: Ralph (Rose) Jackson of Loveland, OH; grandchildren: Joseph Free, Maranda and Macey Castle, Ella and Tyler Free, Koltan and Kingstan Free; great grandchildren: Diana and Violet Free; a special cousin: Bonnie (Rory) Thomas of Lexington, KY, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Anne worked in the banking and finance fields her entire career, including Wilberforce University and several local banks before retiring from the City of Xenia. She also worked at JoAnn Fabric in Xenia.

Services will be held 11:30 AM Monday, April 15th at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with Pastor Ron Swiger officiating. She will be interred with her husband at Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10:30 AM Monday until the time of service at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to Ohio Valley Hospice in memory of Anne.
