Barbara Fabricatore passed away on February 18 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Barbara Fabricatore was born Irmgard Bärbel Duval on June 19, 1939 in Berlin Germany.  Barbara first came to the United States in 1962 at age 22 to work as a Domestic in Short Hills, NJ. Barbara and her husband Gene were married on August 30, 1964; this August they would have been married 60 years.  Barbara & Gene lived in Palisades Park, NJ for 35 years before moving to Xenia 21 years ago.

Barbara loved life and devoted her days to loving the people in her life. From running errands for people, to sending cards to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and special events, Barbara loved people with intentional acts of kindness. She especially loved to support charities and support ministries that spread the love of Jesus.  Barbara was a faithful follower of Christ as her Savior and had a faith that was unwavering. She never missed an opportunity to share of her confidence in God's direction for her life.

She is survived by her loving husband, Eugene of Xenia, OH, daughter, Sharon (Fabricatore) and Eric VanVlymen - Dayton, OH and son, David and Michelle Fabricatore - Canton, MI. She was a devoted grandmother to her six grandchildren Jacob, Nathan, Hope and Ethan VanVlymen, Katelyn and Luke Fabricatore.

She has one surviving brother: Jurgen & Iremela Duval – Germany, along with one niece: Peggy (Duval) & Peter Jungjohann – Germany and one great nephew Nick.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Marianne and Heinz Duval, and a brother, Klaus Duval, from Germany.

A Celebration of Life service will be March 15 at 4:30 PM at First Assembly of God, 204 E Market St, Xenia OH  followed by a celebration meal.
