Barbara Jean Phipps, age 81, of Xenia, OH passed away on July 23, 2025 at Soin Medical Center. She was born on February 11, 1944 in Xenia, OH to the late Mahlon and Maryesther (Luttman) Byrd.

Barbara is survived by her daughter: Betty Phipps of Xenia, OH; and special friends: Brenda Hall, Connie Flyn, and Amanda Becker. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her son: Steven B. Phipps; and siblings: Richard Byrd and Judy Barnhart.

Barbara was a graduate of Xenia High School. She retired as a Clerk of Courts for Montgomery County after 15 years. Barbara enjoyed reading, painting, and crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
