Barbara Ann Thompson passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025. She was born November 17, 1944 to Dr. Harold R. and Marion M. (Saunders) Tharp. She is survived by her husband: Benjamin F. Thompson; sister: Virginia F. McColaugh and nephews: Justin (Heather), Nathan and Kevin (Annie); brother: Douglas (Jayne) Tharp and niece: Annika; brother-in-law: James D. Thompson and niece: Jennifer (David) Richardson and three cats.

Barb graduated from Xenia High School in 1962. She obtained her undergraduate biology degree from Earlham College and her Master's in Earth Science from Wright State University. She taught General Science and Honors Science at Warner Junior High School in Xenia for 28 years.

A Celebration of her Life will be held 12 Noon Friday, December 12, 2025 at Faith Community United Church, 100 Country Club Drive, Xenia. Visitation will be held 10:30 AM Friday until the time of service at the church. Burial to follow in Woodland Cemetery.
