Bonnie Jean Bowen, age 88, of Xenia, passed away Friday, June 25, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born September 5, 1932 in Lenore, West Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Della Bryant Baisden and father: Robert Baisden, step mother: Sadie Baisden; her husband, John Bowen; son: Gene Bowen; son-in-law: Dick Kidd; and siblings: Okie Baisden, Otis Baisden, Michael "Buddy" Baisden, Opal Maynard, Gladys Roski, Cleo Sturgle, Dory Gress, Lorene Conrad and Mary Baisden.

Bonnie is survived by her children: Harriet (Ben) Sweet; James (Janice) Bowen; Rebecca Kidd; Betty (Frank) Sparks; John (Cheryl) Bowen; Matt (Sharon) Bowen; daughter-in-law: Linda Bowen; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren great- great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bonnie moved to Xenia in 1966 and had been an aide at the King St. Nursing Home and Hospitality West. She enjoyed working puzzles, word finds and crocheting. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Cincinnati Reds Baseball. She was a member of South Side Church of God.

The family would like to thank "Corkie" for the exceptional care and companionship that she provided to Bonnie during her illness.

Services will be held Thursday, 11 AM at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with Rev. Darryl Dotson officiating. Burial to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 5-7 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
