Carol Jean Estridge Harris, age 84, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Meadowbrook Care Center. She was born October 17, 1939 in Xenia, the daughter of Neal and Emma (Samuels) Estridge.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Gary D. Harris; sons: Michael Harris and Gary Dalton Harris II; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

She is survived by her son: Gary M. Harris of Jeffersonville; grandsons; Jason Hall and Gary Michael (Yolanda) Harris; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol graduated from Xenia High School. She retired from Central State University where she had worked with the food service department. She loved her animals and had several cats and dogs as pets over the years. She was a member of the First United Christian Church. Carol especially loved her family.

A service to celebrate Carol's life will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, July 2nd at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia.  Gathering for friends and family will be held 11 AM Tuesday until the time of service at the funeral home. She will be interred at Cherry Grove Cemetery at a later date.
