Carol L. Nims, age 81, formerly of Xenia and more recently of Miamisburg, OH, passed away on Feb. 18, 2026, at Stoney Ridge Senior Living, Miamisburg. She was born on June 23, 1944, in Jamestown, NY to the late Hugh and June (McCullough) Carr.

Carol is survived by her husband of 58 years: David A. Nims; son: David W. (Cheryl) Nims of Atlanta, GA; daughter: Charis (James) Elliott of Dayton; and grandchildren: Eric, Anna, Shaun, Joy, Rebekah, Caitlyn, Luke, Micah, and Stephen. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her siblings: Beverly Haskell, Roy Carr, and Janet Scally.

Carol was a graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School in Sinclairville, NY. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Education from Cedarville College. Carol retired from Beavercreek Public Schools as an elementary teacher after 35 years of service. She was a member of Washington Heights Baptist Church in Dayton. Carol loved art, flower arranging, cake decorating, taking pictures, singing, and making new friends.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Washington Heights Baptist Church, 5650 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45429. Private burial will follow in David's Cemetery, Kettering. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Tuesday at the church.
