Charles R. "Chuck" Brane, age 73, of Xenia, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at his residence. He was born August 16, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio.
Chuck was preceded in death by his mother: Joan (Brooks) Yordy and father: Norman C. Brane.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah (Hoey) Brane, whom he married August 1, 1981; his children: Tammy, Tabitha and Jared Brane, all of Xenia; sisters: Chris Langford of West Carrollton and Vicki (Jim) Furnas of Miamisburg; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Chuck graduated from West Carrollton High School. He retired from the Dayton Daily News. He was an avid sports fan. Due to health issues, he could no longer participate, but he loved watching sports, especially NASCAR, bowling, golfing and fishing. Chuck has an outgoing personality, never meeting a stranger. His sense of humor will be missed.
Services will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday, December 10th at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Pastor Malachi Dean. Visitation will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Woodland Cemetery.
