Charles Daniel "Dan" McClanahan, 69, of Xenia died Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born December 10, 1953 the son of Charles William and Margaret Geraldine (Caplinger) McClanahan.  Dan was a member of Carpenters Union Local 136.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Dan is survived by wife Jan (Davenport); daughter, Emma McClanahan; sons, Josh (Jennifer) McClanahan, Jake (Kimberly Gorman) McClanahan, Timothy (Noami) Davenport, John Randall Schuch, Daniel Thomas Schuch, Christian Davenport and Zachary Davenport; grandchildren, Mason Webb, Lily,  Grace and Wesley McClanahan, Charles Daniel McClanahan II, Austin, Angelina and T.J. Davenport, Christian Jr. and Melanie Davenport.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Debbie Grigsby; and brother, Tim McClanahan.

Funeral service will be 11:30 AM Thursday, February 23 ^rd , at McColaugh Funeral Home, where visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of service.  Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Xenia.
