Clara Estella Shoemaker, age 80, of Xenia, OH passed away on July 18, 2024 at Soin Medical Center. She was born on March 12, 1944 in Pulaski, KY to the late James Elmer and Eula (Smith) Ruckel.

Clara is survived by her husband: Charles Shoemaker; sons: Phillip and Charles "Chuck" (Beverly) Shoemaker; grandchildren: Katelyn (Jon) Cobb, Kirk (Chelsea) Shoemaker, and Kyle (Kathryn) Shoemaker; great grandchildren: Isaiah and Evelyn Cobb and Finley, Emma, Lincoln, and Bexley Shoemaker; and sisters: Carrie Bishop, Judith Holbrook, and Bonnie Henderson. In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her brother: Freddie Ruckel and sister: Faye West.

Clara was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Xenia. She will be remembered for her caring spirit.

Services will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. David McClellan and Pastor Curtis Guest officiating.  Visitation will be held on Monday from 3-5 PM on Monday at the church. Burial will be at 10:00AM on Tuesday, July 23, at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
