Cynthia N. Lane, age 66, of Xenia, passed away following a brief illness Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born October 24, 1958 in Xenia.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her mother and step-father: Almeda F. (Jones) and LeRoy Harshaw; father: Donald N. Lane, Sr.; brother: Donald N. Lane, Jr.; sisters: Valerie Jean Lane; Theonita E. Floyd and Patricia Richards.

She is survived by her son: Brent (Cathie) Lane; grandchildren: Tavion Lane and Demetria Skipper; sisters: Dianna Lane; Charlotte (Wesley) Respress, Lia Harshaw (Joseph) Ashford;  a special friend: Rick Lane; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Cynthia graduated from Xenia High School, Class of 1977. After graduation she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida for over 30 years, before coming back to be closer to her mother. She was a good softball player. Cynthia loved the Lord and served the church in various capacities, including Sunday School teacher and singing in the Choir. She recently retired from the VA in Dayton.

Service will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, October 21st at Middle Run Baptist Church with Pastor Chance Clark officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial to follow in Cherry Grove Cemetery.
