Danny Joe Kirkbride , age 51, of Bowersville, Ohio went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 25, 2021 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 20, 1969 in Cambridge, Ohio the son of Dan and Carol Kirkbride.

In addition to his parents, Danny is survived by his wife, Sandra; children: Landen and Leiah Kirkbride; brother and sister-in-law: Don and Shelley Kirkbride of Jamestown; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Danny graduated from Alexander High School in Albany, Ohio and Hocking College. He had been a nurse at Greenewood Manor in Xenia for 28 years and had previously worked in the ER at Clinton Memorial Hospital. He enjoyed being outdoors hiking with his son; kayaking, whitewater rafting and fishing. He also enjoyed gardening. Danny was a wonderful husband, father and son and an awesome brother and friend.

Services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with Pastor Mark Brooks officiating. He will be interred at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bowersville. Friends may call Tuesday from 12 Noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
