Della Jean Wellman, age 88, of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Trinity Care Center. Jean was born March 19, 1934 in Hindman, KY the daughter of Estill and Hattie (Terry) Ratliff.

On March 16, 1957 she married Homer Wellman, who passed away December 24, 2018. In addition to her parents and husband, Jean is also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son: Mark (Jan) Wellman of Kettering; grandchildren: Michael (Sera) Wellman of Kettering; Kyle (Madison) Willis of Columbus; Caleb (Kaitlin) Willis of Bellbrook; Nicole (Dylan) Adams of Xenia and Nathan Willis (Haley) of Bellbrook; great grandchildren: Landon, Jameson, Grace and Eliette; and sister: Mildred O'Brien, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She had been a loan officer with Key Bank, Xenia and Dayton offices for 22 years. She was a member of Faith Community United Methodist Church. Jean was a wonderful wife, mother, and great grandmother.

Services will be held 12 Noon Wednesday, October 12th at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will begin at 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.  Interment to follow in Woodland Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.mccolaughfuneralhome.com.
