Dennis L. Downing, age 79, of Xenia, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born October 14, 1945 in Xenia, the son of Lloyd N. and Elizabeth (Linkhart) Downing.

In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by his brother: Thomas Downing. He is survived by his wife, Crystal L. Swayne Downing, whom he married September 16, 2020; his children: Angela R. (Jimmy) Aker and Christopher L. (Lisa) Downing; a sister: Nancy (Jon) Frank; grandchildren: Krysten Garcia; Cory Stempson and Olivia Downing; step-son: John (Denise) Mullins; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Denny retired after 44 years as a lineman with DP&L. He attended Wright State University. Denny was a 53 year member of BPOE 668 and FOE 1689.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
