Dolores Slyger, age 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 4,  2024.  She lived in Xenia and was born on May 21,1929 in Wellington, Kentucky, the daughter of Edith Rupe Williams and Fred Powers.

Dolores retired as the secretary from Dayton Avenue Baptist Church, where she was a charter member.  Dolores was a talented artist.  She was a member of the Dayton Art Guild and displayed her paintings at art shows and festivals in Ohio and Kentucky.  After she and Ralph retired, they moved to Cave Run Lake in Kentucky where they loved to fish.

In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Slyger,  and sister, Norma Brown.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl (James) Bullen; sons, Ralph Jr. (Diane) Slyger; and Mark (Janice) Slyger all of Xenia; a sister, Fern Vanlandingham of Kentucky; 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. November 8th at Dayton Avenue Baptist Church in Xenia with Pastor Jon Young officiating.  Visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:30 A.M. and will be interred at Valley View Memorial Gardens.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Dayton Avenue Baptist Church.  Expressions of sympathy may be made online to the family at www.mccolaughfuneralhome.com.,
