Donald F. Charles, age 80, of Centerville, passed away March 4, 2025. He was born October 27, 1944 in Jamestown, Ohio the son of Rufus and Betty (Johnson) Charles.

Don was retired from the Xenia Post Office. He proudly served in the US Army, being stationed at the US Embassy in Tehran, Iran. He received a Finance Degree from Miami Jacobs Business College. Don loved dogs, and had several throughout his life. He enjoyed singing, especially Christmas carols with his family. His favorite time of year was baseball season, especially watching the Cincinnati Reds.

He is survived by his daughter: Melissa (Geoff) Lewis of Xenia; grandchildren: Alyssa and Jordyn; a great grandson: Ryder; sister: Marylou (Gary) Largent; wife: Linda Charles; as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Michael Donald Charles and a sister: Janet Clegg.
