Donald Richard Stoops, age 92, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Dayton VA Hospice. Don was born February 13, 1929 in Greene County, Ohio the son of Chelsea and Bess (Murphy) Stoops.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy C. Funk Stoops; sister: Helen Rudduck; brother: Gene Stoops; his son-in-law: William Camp; and granddaughter: Natalie Dawn Camp.

He is survived by his daughter: Elyse Camp of Jeffersonville; grandchildren: Joe (Michelle) Camp and Amy (James) McIlhargey; 2 great grandchildren: Gage and Jozie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Don was a 1947 Graduate of Jefferson High School, Bowersville. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a lifelong farmer and a great story teller. He was also a loyal fan of the OSU Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and Bengals.

Funeral service will be held 11:30 AM Monday, January 10 ^th at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with his grandson, Joe Camp officiating. He will be interred with his wife at Valley View Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Monday from 10:30 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
