Donald A. Warfle, age 98, formerly of Xenia, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022 in Gainesboro, Tennessee where he had moved to be closer to family.

Don was born July 18, 1923 in Vestal, Broome County, New York, the son of Miles and Carrie Warfle.

He retired from Wright Patterson AFB where he had been an engineer. He served in the US Air Force and was a special deputy with the Greene County Sheriff's Dept.

Don was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae (Cox) Warfle; brother: Merll Warfle; sisters: Nellie and Lenora Warfle and grandson: Michael Deeter.

He is survived by his step children: Jim (Jeannie) Deeter of Middletown, OH; and Judy Mitchell of Whitney, TX; grandchildren: Tammy (Tim) Tyree; Timothy (Bethany) Canfield; Kenny Wayne (Sarah) Canfield; James Deeter; great grandchildren: David (Mike) Williams-Burr; Daniel (Stephanie) Williams; Kristy Tyree; Brittany, Linda, Cassey, T.J. and Michael Canfield; Veronica Clark, Ambyre Silvabarros; and several great great grandchildren.

Services will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, May 3 ^rd at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday until the time of service at the funeral home. He will be buried at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
