Doris Thatcher, loving wife and mother, passed peacefully on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at the age of 86 at Friends Nursing Home in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

Doris was the daughter of Edith Osborne and Elvas Malone. Sister to Richard (Judy) Malone, Louise (Earl) Shepard, and Darrell Malone. She is survived by her husband of 70 years: Charles Thatcher; three daughters: Debra Begley, Diana (Kenney) Linebaugh; and Carla (Jonathon) Ledford; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Doris retired from Vernay Laboratories in Yellow Springs. She loved spending time with her family, especially at the many gatherings surrounded with good food! Doris also loved shopping, mainly for the time spent talking and eating. She always looked forward to the annual Christmas shopping trip with Louise, Judy, and Martha. Doris's other hobbies included bowling with her daughters and friends. She will be missed by her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia, in the chapel.
