Dwayne D.
Masteller
Feb 4, 1970 — Mar 16, 2024
We are sad to announce the passing of Dwayne Masteller of Beavercreek, Ohio. Dwayne died at the age of 54 on March 16, 2024. He passed away surrounded by his loved ones with Johnny Cash playing in the background after a long battle with CADASIL.
Left to honor his memory are his devoted wife, Arwen Masteller, his two daughters, Kayla Szymczak (Ryan Szymczak), Tailor Masteller (Ryan Lambdin), his two sons, Spencer Masteller and Koby Masteller, and his mother-in-law, Karen Nagafuchi. Dwayne and Arwen's union sparked in 1991 when Dwayne held her hand to comfort her while working as a surgical tech during her wisdom tooth removal, resulting in a wedding 2 months later and almost 33 years of marriage.
Dwayne valued education above all else and took pride in his career. After serving in the Air Force, Dwayne honored his passion for education by teaching surgical tech at the local college for 20 years. Renowned for his unyielding work ethic, Dwayne endeavored to uplift and empower those around him, ensuring that his students and peers alike were equipped with the tools for success. He wanted to be that one person that made a difference and took great pride working with friends.
Outside of work, Dwayne had several passions in life: music, hot rods, fly fishing, family, and friends. He was a well-respected and valued friend to all of those who were lucky enough to know him.
An Open House to celebrate Dwayne's life will begin at 5 PM Thursday, April 11th at the Spring Runs Farm, 9206 Haddix Rd, Fairborn, OH 45324.
