Edith C. Skinner , age 84, of Xenia, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 at her residence. She was born June 13, 1937 in Xenia, the daughter of Harold and Viola Goings McGee.

In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Skinner; her son: Mark Skinner; 4 brothers and a sister.

She is survived by her grandson: Mark Skinner, Jr.; great grandson: Messiah; step daughter: Wendy Odom; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would also like to recognize Edith's special friends: Rachel Scott; Joanie Fite-Moore; Leslie Davis and the McCormick Family.

Edith worked at Meijer's in Fairborn. She was an active member of the Bethel Temple, where she had been a Sunday School Teacher.

Services will be held 11 AM Monday at Bethel Temple, 914 E. Third St., Xenia with Pastor Geena Caldwell eulogizing and District Elder Raymond Lloyd Jr. officiating. She will be buried at the National Cemetery, Dayton. Visitation will be held 10 AM Monday until the time of service at the church.
