Elaine Maples, 76, of Xenia, died Saturday March 7, 2026, at her home.

She was born May 28, 1949, in Jamestown, the daughter of Benjamin and Pauline (Chandler) Hoover.  Elaine was a member of the Medway VFW and enjoyed old westerns.  She loved spending time with her family and being the family caregiver.

Elaine is survived by her sons, Brett (Dria) and Jeremy Conyers; grandchildren, Kimi and Alex Conyers, and Ray Tutt.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Maples; parents, Benjamin and Pauline (Chandler) Hoover; sister, Hazel McClain; brothers, James R. and Harvey L. Hoover; and partner, Don Stewart Sr.

Funeral service will be held 5:00 PM Friday, March 13th, at McColaugh Funeral Home in Xenia, where visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until the time of service.  Burial will be held 10:00 AM Monday, March 16th, at Byron Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Tenth Life, PO Box 178, Alpha, OH 45301.
