Elizabeth "Betty" Barnett, age 88, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her children.  She was born January 25, 1933 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of John and Agnes (Powell) Wright.  Betty had been a homemaker, a devout Christian, enjoyed rides in the country and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Betty was a true friend to her children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband:  Paul Barnett; her daughter:  Jacqueline Barnett; sister:  Alice Estrada and brother:  John "Jack" Wright.

Betty is survived by her children:  Paul Barnett and Michele (Mark) Brown, both of Xenia; grandchildren:  Paul (Angi) Barnett, Amanda Barnett, Matthew (Jamie) Brown, Mackenzie Brown and partner Keegan Doyle; great grandchildren:  Courtney Barnett, Aaron Russ, Elijah Barnett and Lauren Dacres; sister-in-law:  Doris Mikell Wright, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes, there will be private graveside services where she will be buried alongside her husband and daughter at Woodland Cemetery, Xenia with Pastor Mark Brooks officiating.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of Dayton Foundation.  Online condolences may be made to the family at www.mccolaughfuneralhome.com .
