Elizabeth Gertrude "Trudy" Gales, age 95, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at her residence. She was born March 19, 1928 in Springfield, Kentucky the daughter of Borth and Rosemary (Ellery) Tucker.

In addition to her parents, Trudy was preceded in death by her husband: James P. Gales; children: William Thomas Grundy, Martin Richard Grundy and Cynthia Ann Grundy; 7 brothers and sisters; and a son-in-law: Jasper Rucker.

She is survived by her daughters: Brenda Rucker, Rebecca Grundy and Felicia McCombs, all of Xenia and Mary Martina Grundy of Columbus, OH; 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces and nephews, including a special nephew: Kevin Tucker.

Trudy retired from Central State University where she had been a custodian. She enjoyed gardening and loved fishing and listening to Jazz music. She was a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church, 312 Fairground Rd., Xenia, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 31, 2023 with burial to follow in St. Brigid Cemetery.
