Evelyn Lucille Blair, age 92, of Xenia, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021 at Wright Health & Rehab Center in Fairborn. She was born July 8, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her father: Floyd Rhoads; her mother and step father: Cora (Davis) and Roy Everetts; her husband: Denver Blair, Sr.; daughter and son-in-law: Kathleen and Paul Haines; and sisters: Betty Garrison; Sharon Wilson and Patty Teeters.

She is survived by her son: Denver Jr. (Lisa) Blair; sister: Pauline Marsh; 3 grandchildren: Justin (Samantha) Blair; Kyle Blair and Jessica Blair; great grandchildren: Tressel, Greyden and Lucille Blair and Grant Houser; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Hillsboro High School and was a member of the Xenia Church of the Nazarene, where she had been a long time Sunday School Teacher.  She retired from the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services. Evelyn was a world traveler, and enjoyed gardening. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her feisty behavior and assertive demeanor. Although she will be missed by family and friends, they rejoice knowing she is at rest in her Heavenly Home.

Services will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, July 24 ^th at Xenia Church of the Nazarene, 1204 W. Second St., Xenia, with Pastor Mike Hancock officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:30 AM until the time of service at the church. A graveside service will be held immediately following the services Saturday, where we will meet at 2 PM at the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery, Highland County.
