Exer L. Preston, age 94, of Xenia, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023 at Legacy Village.  She was born May 14, 1928 in Flat Gap, Kentucky the daughter of Estill L. and Vessie (Pack) LeMaster.

Exer had been a resident of Xenia since 1951. She retired as a switchboard operator at Greene Memorial Hospital in 1981.  She was also a member of the Miami Valley United Baptist Church. She married Lafe Preston in 1950 and he preceded her in death in 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister: Emogene Hamilton.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Debra and Bill Noble of Beavercreek; 2 grandchildren: Natalie (Greg) Tyree of Xenia and Ray (Krisztina) Noble, of LaPlata, MD; 3 great grandchildren: Lafe and Olivia Tyree of Xenia and Elias Noble of LaPlata; a sister-in-law: Norma (Frank) Lavendar and several nieces.

Services will be held at 12 Noon Monday, March 6 ^th at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. She will be interred at Byron Cemetery.
