Francis M. "Bub" Harper, age 87, of Jamestown, passed away July 15, 2023 at Soin Medical Center. He was born June 25, 1936 in Jamestown, Ohio the son of Floyd E. and Mildred (Evans) Harper.

In addition to his parents, Bub was preceded in death by a daughter: Kimberly Harper; 6 siblings: Nedra Whittington, Shirley Harper, Juanita Espich, Alameda Pickens, Floyd Harper and infant brother Charles Harper.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Luttrell) Harper, whom he married July 25, 1959; his sons: Ed (Robin) Harper and Greg (Pam) Harper, all of Jamestown; 6 grandchildren: Erin (Matt) Ledford, Eric (Jessica) Harper, Derek Harper, Britanie (Danny) Rife, Amber and Ryan Harper; 10 great grandchildren: Levi, Branten, Gracie, Deagen, Jack, Cade, Brooks, Kalan, Noah and Quincy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Bub had been the owner of Harper Plumbing. He had been active in the Silvercreek Twp. Fire Department and with the Jamestown Lions Club. He also coached little league baseball for several years when his boys were young.

Services will be held 12 Noon Thursday, July 20th at Jamestown United Methodist Church, 22 E. Washington St., with Pastor Cindy Price officiating. He will be buried in Silvercreek Cemetery, Jamestown. Friends may call Thursday from 10:30 AM Thursday until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Silvercreek Twp. Fire Dept., 28 E. Xenia St., Jamestown.
