Jack W. Thompson, age 64, of Xenia, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Greene Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Tokyo, Japan, on July 19, 1960.

Jack was preceded in death by his father: Fred Thompson and mother: Eiko Tarasawa Thompson. He is survived by the love of his life, Cynthia A. (Wells) Thompson, whom he married April 27, 1985. Together they had three children: Robbie Thompson (Calen Vinion); Christy Baker and Daniel Thompson; grandchildren: David-Jack, Tyrion-Bain and Albert-Morgan Adam Bowermaster;  Oliver Lee Thompson and Ryleigh Vinion,; his step-mother: Bing Thompson; and siblings: Orlando (Debbie) Thompson; Boyd Thompson; Joy (Sean) McLaughlin; Fritz (Kelly) Thompson; Fred (Timber) Thompson, Jr. and Mitchell (Chelsea) Thompson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jack was a graduate of Stebbins High School and proudly served in the US Navy. He enjoyed working at the Xenia Towers. He was very directional and good with fixing things. He and his wife enjoyed going to festivals and flea markets, always looking for a good deal. He also liked to cook and especially enjoyed working outside, gardening and getting his "therapy" by tending to the birds and flowers. He was a loving family man with a strong will and fighting spirit. His wife correlates their life to their favorite movie "Rocky." Jack had a love for animals, especially dogs, and was preceded in death by his furry friends: Rocky, Wolfy and Ricky. Rudy survives.

Services to honor Jack's life will be held 12 Noon Thursday, May 15th at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with burial to follow at the National Cemetery, Dayton. Visitation will be held 11 AM Thursday until the time of service at the funeral home.
