James C. Holtz Jr., 75, of Xenia died Friday, October 8, 2021, at Grandview Hospital.

He was born September 29, 1946, in Jamestown, the son of James C. and Dorothy Clara (Stackhouse) Holtz Sr.  James worked at Elano/Unison Industries as a welder for 56 years.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

James is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette (Ashcraft); daughters, Alesia (Timothy) Holtz Bechtel, Lynette Holtz and Erin Maple; grandchildren, Kalynn Bechtel, Lee Bechtel, Brittany (Brad Jones) Ehling, Cierra Leal, Logan Leal, Joshua Warrell, Madyson Warrell, Christopher Maple Jr., Sissy Maple, Emma Maple, Austin Maple and Braden Maple; great-granddaughter, Kinsleigh Jones; sister, Georgianna (JD) Holtz DeMaris; brother, Fred (Cheryl) Holtz; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son-in-law, Christopher Maple.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 13th at McColaugh Funeral home in Xenia with Pastor Damon Maderios and Timothy Bechtel co-officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date.
