James Michael "Mike" Hardwick, age 74, of Xenia passed away Monday, January 6, 2025 at Kettering Medical Center. Mike was born January 1, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio the son of James K. and Donna (Humphrey) Hardwick.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brothers: Larry Humphrey; Tom Hardwick and Jeff Hardwick.

Mike is survived by his wife of 33 years, Connie S. (Toner) Hardwick; children: Tonya (Tim) Hobson of McMinnville, OR; Anthony Hardwick of Bucyrus, OH, Timothy Hardwick of Fremont, OH and Shannon Hardwick of Tiffin, OH; step children: Tonya Camp of IN; James (Mary Beth) Swindler of Cincinnati and Michelle (Brad) Lewis of Xenia; siblings: Allen (Linda) Hardwick of Jamestown, OH; Karen Sue Hardwick-Shidaker of Jamestown and Beth (Jerry) Combs of Wilmington; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mike graduated from Xenia High School Class of 1969 and proudly served in the US Army. He attended Xenia Grace Chapel. Mike enjoyed playing games on his computer and watching sports, especially the Buckeyes. He was a member of the Xenia FOE. Mike was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mike will be buried with military honors 10 AM Thursday, January 16, 2025 at the National Cemetery, Dayton. A procession to the cemetery will leave the McColaugh Funeral Home parking lot at 9:15 AM Thursday.
