James Darrin Stoops, age 58, of Xenia, passed away unexpectedly at his residence Tuesday, January 30, 2024. He was born January 2, 1966 in Wilmington, Ohio. Darrin is preceded in death by his father: Donald James Stoops, Jr. and his step father: Kenneth Kratzer.

Darrin is survived by his mother: Linda K. (Faulkner) Kratzer; his children: Amber Ross of Fairborn, Tabitha Balduff of London, James Darrin "Little D" Stoops II of Washington Court House and James Darrin Stoops III of Michigan; siblings: Jeffrey Duane Stoops, Jerry Dale Stoops, and Susan Lynn Pace, all of Xenia; and best friend: Tim Combs; grandchildren: Peyton, Spencer, Carson, Arianna, Desiree and Amarion; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Darrin had been a landscaper and general handyman, always willing to help others. He loved riding his motorcycles through the country sporting his beloved leather vest, which was a gift from his sister. He was an overall good person who had struggled to overcome many bumps in the road, but had turned his life around and was taken too soon.

Services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, February 6th at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with Pastor Todd Martin and Pastor Tim Combs officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
