James Russell Sutton, 84, of Jamestown, died Wednesday October 2, 2024 at Hospice of Dayton.

He was born December 29, 1939, in Charleston, WV, the son of Russell Hagler and Lulu Viola (Dowler) Sutton.  Jim loved to ride his Harley-Davidson, when the weather permitted.

James is survived by daughters, Michelle (Jeffrey) Tudor, Diana Sams and Jami Ranae Donohoe; son, Donald (Sherry) Grooms; grandchildren, Bradley and Jessica Courson, James (Sarah) Baldwin, Andrew Willis Jr, Daulton Cornell, Lukas and Trace Donohoe, Brandon (Stephanie) Sams, Amie (Michael) Crank and Eric (Sasha) Grooms; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Begley, nieces and nephews, Becky (Russ) Jordan, Susan Keefer, Doug Bean and Darryl Palmer.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle (Littler); son, Kent Haines; sister, Judith Ruley; nephews, Steve and Charles Bean.

Memorial gathering will be held 4:00-5:00 PM Tuesday, October 15th, at McColaugh Funeral Home, Xenia.
