Janet L. Fry, age 78, of Xenia passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at Hospice of Dayton.

She was born March 4, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of McCarty and Ruby (Compton) Roberts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Rebecca Ryals and Cordie Rabenda a brother: Curtis Roberts and her father-in-law and mother-in-law: James and Kathryn Fry.

She is survived by her loving husband, James R. Fry, whom she married May 9, 1963; children: Gail Curtis, James E. Fry and Robert A. (Allison) Fry, all of Xenia; 5 granddaughters: Brooke Caraway (Brent); Brittany Curtis (Ryan Kutschbach); Natasha Stiffler (Matt); Crystal and Jessica Fry and 4 great grandchildren; and sister: Grace Sanders as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Janet graduated from Xenia High School, Class of 1963. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. She liked to play Euchre at the Xenia Adult Recreation Center and was a natural caregiver.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Janet.

A gathering for friends and family will be held 10:30 – 11:30 AM Tuesday at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Burial will take place privately at Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.  Online condolences may be made to the family at www.mccolaughfuneralhome.com.
