Janice E. Smart, age 82, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Soin Medical Center. She was born January 26, 1940 in Jamestown, the daughter of James and Edna (Foster) Lansing.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband: Roger Smart, Sr.; her grandson: Jeremy Saxton; sons-in-law: Kenneth Reeder and Ronnie Saxton and brother: James Lansing.

She is survived by her children: Vickie (Ronnie) Saxton; Tammy Reeder; Roger Smart, Jr. and Karen (John) Loy; grandchildren: Ashley Saxton; Amber (Samantha) Evans; Eric (Kayla) Reeder; Kenny (Bernie) Reeder; Kayla (Steven) Moody; Ryan Smart; Travis (Courtney) Miller; Sean (Brianna) McSwain; Kyle McSwain and Noelle Loy; great grandchildren: Hunter, Nicole, Kyson, Westyn, Jon, Lucus, Sage, DJ, Violet, Ivy, Ian, Chole, Brennan, Everitt, Adalaide, Chance, Dawn, Cheyenne and Christian on his way; great great granddaughter: Kora Rose; as well as siblings: Eileen Rosell, Naomi Terry, David (Vivian) Lanisng and sister-in-law: Esther Lansing; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives.

Janice was an avid NASCAR fan. She loved working Sudoku puzzles. She had previously enjoyed camping, fishing and motorcycle rides with her husband.

Services will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with Pastor Todd Martin officiating. Interment to follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
