Jeffrey Lee Smith, age 69, of Xenia, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023 at his residence.

He was born September 5, 1954. He retired from ODOT after 32 years of service where he had been a Labor Foreman. He graduated from Xenia High School and the Greene County Career Center, Class of 1972. Jeff was the life of the party and the family comedian, always ready with a witty response. He will be missed riding his Free-wheeler, "Clyde" around town waving at everyone he knew.

Jeff was preceded in death by his son: Seth Tyler Smith; mother: Margaret Rogers Ward, father: Hobart Smith; sisters: Lesa Ward and Shelly Smith; brother: Gregory Smith; and best friend: Moses Bynum; and his grandmother: Marie Rogers.

Jeff is survived by his daughters: Aften (Dennis) Marshall; Emily Nicole Smith; sons: Jakob Viramontex-Smith and Jeffrey Lee Smith II; Grandchildren: Oliver Smith, Landon Carter, Jaydon and Brayton Lane, Mikayla Howell, Coen Wilkin and Kylee Purdin; Brother: Larry Taylor and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to acknowledge, Cassondra Grace Curtis for providing extra special care to Jeff and offering support to the entire family.

Services will be held 11:30 AM Friday, October 20th at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Friends may call Friday from 10:30 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Entombment to follow in Woodland Mausoleum.
