Jerry W. Fields, age 72, of Xenia passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born March 31, 1951 in Hazard, Kentucky.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Buster Fields, brother: Paul Fields and sister: Annetta Fields.

He is survived by his loving wife, Paula E. (Neel) Fields, whom he married January 8, 1971; children: Kim Fields, Paul (Erin) Fields, Nicholas Fields and Jacob Fields, his mother: Marie (Coots) Eversole; sisters: Shirley, Barb, Kitty, Phyllis, Wilma and Johnny Jr.; and his grandchildren: Arianna, Matthew and Arlington; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry was a hard worker, retiring from Duriron after many years of service and then GE Aerospace. After retiring a second time, Jerry went on to work part time at Ace Hardware in Xenia, where he enjoyed helping people. As a younger man, Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking and working in his yard. He had been a devoted pet parent to numerous cats and dogs over the years. He loved his family and currently his favorite pastime was doting over his grandchildren.

Jerry was a simple soul and per his request his family will cherish his memory privately.
