John Lee Seitz, age 67, of Xenia, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Soin Medical Center. He was born November 4, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Laverne and Jean (Adams) Seitz.

John is survived by his wife, Karen Sue Sodders Liston Seitz; children: Steven (Stephanna) Seitz of Xenia; Bradley (Christa) Liston of Germantown and Heather (Brad) French of Dayton; sisters: Linda Creager and Susan Seitz both of Kettering and brother: Bryan Seitz of Xenia; 9 grandchildren: Wyatt; Carter; Brody; Chase; Brynleigh; Brielle; Elaina; Jaiden and Dylan and a host of other relatives and friends, including his best friends of over 50 years: Gene and Patty Kempfer; Walt Ullmayer and Steve Bates.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister: Barbara Hickey.

John had retired from Time Warner Cable after 24 years of service. He was currently employed with Lowe's in Xenia. He enjoyed "tinkering" and wood working. He was a licensed HAM radio operator. John also enjoyed Lionel trains and was a musician. He especially enjoyed being a grandpa, and attending his grandchildren's events.

Services will be 1 PM Thursday, May 19, 2022 at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with Rev. James "Pete" Creamer officiating. Visitation will be held 12 Noon Thursday until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
