Joseph Francis Klein III, age 79, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Greene Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on July 26, 1945, the son of Joseph F. II and Margaret (Culligan) Klein.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his daughter: Kimberly Klein; sister: Joan Myskoski, brother: Jack Klein and brother-in-law: Raymond Lowe.

Joe was a devoted husband to Donna S. (Hurley), whom he married June 21, 1984, and she survives. Joe is also survived by his daughter: Lori (Tim) Partin of MI; step children: Greg (Dena) Gruber and Nikki (Chuck) James; sisters: Cathy (Bill) Billinski and Peggy Lowe; brother: Bob Klein, all of PA; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Joe retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base where he had worked in Precision Management. He graduated from Holy Rosary High School and proudly served in the US Air Force during the Viet Nam Conflict. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and even cutting the grass. He was a long time member of the Greene County Fish & Game. He insisted on keeping things simple and not creating a fuss. Therefore, to honor Joe's wishes, his family will celebrate his life privately, with burial at Bellbrook Cemetery at a later date.
