Karen K. Holleran, age 70, of Xenia, passed away peacefully Monday, June 2, 2025 at her home surrounded by the love and comfort of her animals, her friend AJ and her wonderful care team.

Karen was born in Scranton, PA on September 19, 1954, the daughter of John and Geraldine (Wilcom) Holleran.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her brother: John Holleran.

Karen proudly served in the US Marine Corps. attaining the rank of Sgt. She retired from Lockheed Martin as a programmer and later a house cleaner.

Karen's entire life revolved around caring and loving her animals- dogs, cats and horses. She found great peace in rescuing animals and providing a loving home on her farm.  She cherished her time in the barn cleaning stalls, listening to audio books and having a cold Coors Light.

She is survived by her brother: Robert "Bob" Holleran (LouAnn); sisters: Lauren Holleran and Sheila (Christopher) Hunsinger; nieces Kristina and Kimberly; several cousins and dear friends: Alexa "AJ" Johnson,  Rodney Bellmann and her beloved dogs Bucky and Molly.

Per Karen's wishes, there will be no services. If desired, you may honor Karen's memory by donating to your favorite animal rescue.
