Obituary

Keith Richard Linkhart, 76, of Xenia, Ohio, left this earth surrounded by family on February 1, 2026. He was born on May 27, 1949, to Laura and Curtis Linkhart and spent his entire life in the community he loved and proudly called home.

Keith dedicated 35 years to law enforcement, beginning his career in 1972. Throughout the years, he served as a Patrol Sergeant, Detective, and member of the Drug Task Force. He took pride in his work and the people he served, retiring in 2007 after a long and respected career.

Full of energy and always the life of the party, Keith loved staying busy and enjoying life. He spent his time boating, fishing, camping, traveling, riding four-wheelers and motorcycles, and working on hot rods. He enjoyed a good glass of wine, good company, and was always ready for a little dancing. Keith also had a special gift with animals and could get even the most stubborn ones to listen.

Above all else, Keith was a devoted family man. He will be remembered as a great father and an even better grandpa—roles he loved dearly and took great pride in.

Keith is survived by his siblings, Jeanie (David) Hilderbran and Mark Linkhart; his children, Leslie (Russ Ankeney) Day, Carrie (Jason) Hall, Benjamin (Caillen French) Linkhart, and Chad (Brittany) Linkhart; and his grandchildren, Morgan (Logan Bilbrey) Day, Macy (Nick Hughes) Day, Mason Hall, Stella Hall, Bella Linkhart, and Sadie Linkhart, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Laura and Curtis Linkhart, and his sister, Mona Hobson.

Keith's laughter, stories, and adventurous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
