Kim R. Poston, age 69, of Xenia, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 7, 2024 at his residence. He was born March 16, 1954 in Dayton, the son of John H. and Rosalie (Crabtree) Poston.

In addition to his parents, Kim was preceded in death by his sisters: Coralie Poston, Sarah Poston and Jacqueline Maxwell, and his grandson: Damien Johnson.

He recently celebrated 45 years of marriage to his wife, Diana Poston, and she survives. Also surviving are his children: Kelly Poston, Ashley (John) Gilley, and Kimberly Poston, all of Xenia; grandchildren: Aliyah, Catessa, Kailah, and Gavin Gilley, Jaden (Kaleb) Stilabower, Madison Poston and Isabella Tope; siblings: Winona (Darrel) Bixby, Bonnie (David) Dodd and Patricia (Gary) Weltch; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Kim was an avid fan of NASCAR. He enjoyed collecting, building and painting model cars. Several photos of his model cars were recently published nationally due to his extreme precision to detail.

Services will be held 1:30 PM Friday, January 12, 2024 at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM Friday until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
