Lillian Armilda "Jo" Shelton, age 85, of Xenia, passed away November 2, 2023 at Harmony Health Care Center. She was born March 24, 1938 in Maysville, Kentucky, the daughter of Harold and Frances (Manier) Lowe.

In addition to her parents, Jo was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years: Lawrence Shelton; a daughter: Lisa J. Shelton; son: Terry Wayne Shelton; sister: Virginia Winstead.

She is survived by her children: Timothy (Brenda) Shelton; Richard (Ginnine) Shelton and Kristal (Rafat) Qumsieh, all of Xenia; sister: Mary Kathryn (Jim) Maher of KY; 8 grandchildren: Tim (Christina) Shelton; Candice (Eric) Dixon; Melissa (Andrew) Heckerson; Heather (Cody) Davis; Amanda (Michael) Badger; Alexis (Eli) Bonilla; Kayla Qumsieh (Eric) and Miah Qumsieh; and 9 great grandchildren.

Jo retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base, where she had been a secretary. She enjoyed traveling and collecting jewelry. She was an accomplished organist, pianist and gospel singer, playing at various churches in the area.

She will be buried privately at Valley View Memorial Gardens with her husband.
