Larry E. Grooms, 86, of Xenia, died Monday, March 24, 2025, at Hospice of Butler and Warren County.

He was born September 23, 1938, in Xenia, the son of Ralph and Inez (Cline) Grooms.  Larry was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  He was a member of Xenia Grace Chapel.  Larry owned and operated Magnum Tool for many years.  He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and was known as a Mr. Fix-it.  Larry loved the Lord, his wife of 65 years and his family.

Larry is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Louderback); daughter, Bridey (Allan) Adams; sons, Gregory (Amy) Grooms and Christopher (Shanda) Grooms; grandchildren, Zack (Katy) Grooms, Summer Leonhardt, Josie, Owen and Noah Grooms and Claire (Colin) Mangan; great-grandchildren, Maximus and Atticus Grooms and Boone Mangan; brother, John (Linda) Grooms; and step-brother, Steve Cline.  He was preceded in death by brothers, Jim and Paul Grooms; half-brothers, Donnie and Robert Hamilton; step-brothers, Jerry and Fred Cline.

Memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, April 5th, at Xenia Grace Chapel, 100 Grace Drive, Xenia, where refreshments will be served after the service.  McColaugh Funeral Home, Xenia, is serving the family.
