Obituary

Larry Earl Morris was born in Dayton, Ohio September 9th 1947 and passed on May 6th, 2025 at his home.  He was preceded in death by his parents Narma Morris and Thomas Morris.  He is survived by his wife Joan Morris of 56 years and daughter Melissia Taziar and son in-law Jeremy Taziar and two sisters Wava Labig (Mike) and Claudia Rantz (Harry) and several nephews and nieces.

He grew up working in the tree nursery his father operated and knew just about every tree that he saw.  He also loved cars and had several fast cars throughout his life.  He later helped his parents run the largest maple syrup camp in southwestern Ohio and he loved maple syrup!

He retired from General Motors in 1998 and enjoyed fishing and hunting his entire life. He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, but he was the happiest on a lake with a fishing pole in his hand.  He enjoyed fishing in bass tournaments thru the years.  He spent several years of his retirement working as Lake Patrol on Shawnee Lake where he resided for 52 years.  He always loved to go deep sea fishing any time he was on a vacation near the ocean.  He caught many large fish that he was proud of, including a barracuda and many large and small mouth bass.  If there was a Kentucky Wildcats Basketball or Cincinnati Reds Baseball game on tv, he was watching it.  He loved both of these teams and was one of their biggest fans.
